About Aboutness
From Wikipedia: “Aboutness is a term used in library and information science (LIS), linguistics, philosophy of language, and philosophy of mind. In general, the term refers to the concept that a text, utterance, image, or action is on or of something.”
My name is Jane Stewart. Aboutness.ca is a one-person operation, dedicated to solving challenges of managing digital information. I design the vocabularies, models and rules that help make content on the web findable, interoperable, and reusable.
I have completed over 60 projects with 30 different organizations in the public, private and non-profit sectors. The domains and “aboutness” of these projects is wide-ranging:

- Agricultural crops, food products, and methods of production
- Project management methodologies
- Greenhouse gas emissions and other environmental indicators
